Isn’t it that children are the future? So, it is our duty to make them better citizens for tomorrow. It is of utmost important that we should teach them the basic things at an early age. One of the important thing we should teach them is practicing good hygiene. Children get attacked by the germs very easily and they fall sick as the immune system of the children are weak in comparison to adults. The germs germs are easily transmitted as children spend much of their time in close contact with other children at daycare or school where. Often it is seen that, most children are not as conscious of personal hygiene as they should be, greatly increasing their risk of illness and most importantly passing it on to other children.
Make it fun.
Children always respond better to activities that they perceive as fun. Brightly colored toothpaste with sparkles, yummy flavors or a favorite cartoon or action hero are always a hit with kids.
Let the children follow you.
If you want your child to practice good hygiene, they must see that you do the same. Make them notice when wash your hands or brushing your teeth when your child is present.
Enforce routines.
Before meals, always have children wash their hands, even at restaurants or away from home. Putting a reminder note for the school-age children is not a bad idea.
Time matters.
It is important to let them know the importance of time. A useful trick is to tell your child to sing a song like ” twice before they stop washing their hands.
