nullWell, many parents think that it’s too early to teach children how to take care of their teeth, but it is not like that. However, many parents are unaware of the fact that the time to start daily cleanings is before babies have any teeth at all. We have to teach them in the early stages itself to take proper care of their teeth. Here are some tips that will help you to guide your child.

1) A whopping 15% of kids have baby bottle cavities, received after going to bed with a baby bottle. Cut this habit.

2) It is a general belief that choclates is the worst thing for children’s teeth, in actuality, any foods that contains sugar or carbohydrates that can be broken down by the bacteria in a child’s mouth can cause cavities. So, the cookies can be worse for teeth than candy.

3) Use an open cup instead of a chippy cup as kids don’t suck on it and hence there will be less sugar on the mouth longer.

4) Children should be given fluoridated toothpaste after their second birthday. Fluoride can be harmful to your child. Feed your child on green leafy vegetables which itself is high in fluoride.

5) Incurred the habit in your child of brushing while looking at the mirror. In this way a child will enjoy the whole process of brushing and can remove a lot more plaque.
